The Sonoran Desert wraps around the Sea of Cortez like an elongated, misshapen horseshoe. Juxtaposition of desert and sea creates one of the most wondrous of all of earth’s landscapes. There are 1500 miles of desert coastline of the Sea of Cortez in Baja California and Sonora, Mexico. Much of that coast is remote, desolate, but spectacularly beautiful. These spotted sand bass and Mexican barracuda were caught from a sea kayak in the beautiful Sea of Cortez.
